Hey David, thanks for sharing this bit of info. I am a crackberry. And yes, the iphone has been on my mind but I'm very happy with Verizon. This is great news...we'll see how it plays out!
Bob, I was a crackberry, too. I think sometimes my thumbs still do that little mambo in my sleep.
Verizon has great service and reliability - my prediction is that after 2010 Apple will open things up for other providers besides AT&T (although their customer service is great).
The thing I wonder about RIM's new screen technology is how those moving parts will wear over time?
One of the advantages of Flash memory over hard drives (for example) is that there's no spinning discs to wear out or get damaged from shock.
So when I see a new device coming out with more moving parts, I start thinking wear and tear. My old Blackberry keypad started feeling wonky after a year, so I just wonder...
Maybe RIM has solved those problems already. I'm anxious to see what they've done.
At the same time, I think about the next level for handheld devices. For a technology company that wants to develop the latest and greatest, I can't help but think there's something beyond a minor touch screen improvement.
I just think RIM should be thinking four steps ahead of Apple to compete, not a step behind.
Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we might oft win, by fearing to attempt. ~Shakespeare Art and I are like best friends, like salt and pepper, or socks. ~primary student
"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature... Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~Helen Keller
