This is great in a comprehensive sense, but what I love most of all is his facial expression. He's not smiling proudly or in a cheesy "I'm cute and sweet" way or even smiling at all. He looks earnest and slightly hopeful. Altogether an ordinary little boy who's chosen to open up his heart. Terrific.
I particularly like the texture in this touchy-feely illustration. I feel I can almost touch it through the screen.
This is very sweet. The rays are a wonderful touch.
